How to Prepare Installation Qualification (IQ) Test

 

Many peoples are facing the issue for preparation of IQ and what are the tests to be performed in IQ. So Ugine are recommended the following test steps and script testing for Computer System Validation, Which is Helpful for preparing the Computer system Life Cycle or SDLC  Documentation.

Following Test can be Performed in Preparation of IQ.

1. Verification of System Hardware Component :- Panel hardware verification with Make, Model, Serial Number and Quantity. Example :- PLC/HMI/IPC  Detail Like Make, Model, Serial No, Quantity, and also verify panel mounting  other component like VFD, I/O Detail, External Power Supply Unit, UPS, and Any Other Sub Equipment/ Instrument Which is connected to Machine.

2. Equipment and Room Identification :-  Verify the Equipment Name, Make, Model, Serial No. and Equipment ID, and Room Location. All Detail tag should be affixed ON Equipment.

3. Verification of Master Document :- following Document should be available at a time of validation

1. Operating System Backup and Recovery Tool.
2. Disaster Recovery Procedure.
3. Business  continuity Plan for Computerized system (Site SOP)
4. Software Data base Backup and Recovery Procedure.
5. Backup and Recovery Procedure (Site SOP)
6. Operational Manual
7. List of Bill of material
8. PLC Editable Program backup
9. Software Editable program backup
10. PLC and Software Backup
11. Software Code

4. Verification of Software :- Build Software and Supporting software  detail Should be required like software name and version no.etc.

5. Verification of Data Backup Path :-  Verify The data backup Storage Location and path. Which drive name, When data is store.

6. Verification of Software Installation Path :- Verify the Software installation Path and Location. which is drive name and when data is Store.

7. Operating System and Paches verification :- Verify the OS, OS Name, Version Name, Paches Detail, Service pack, Windows Edition, Computer Name  System Type etc.

If PC have Domain and Server Need to be Qualified and Verified.

8. PC Hardware Qualification :-  Verify the Hardware Test i.e. Processor Name Processor Make, Model, Serial No. Mother Board Make and Serial No. Hard disk Make, Model, Serial No. and Capacity, RAM, Make, Model, Serial no. and Capacity, PC Name, Host Name, Firm ware and Version,No of Quantity USB/Ethernet/ HDMI/VGA etc.

9. Verification of Communication Cable and Address :-  Verify Communication Protocol and Cable i.e. Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus Communication Cable and Connection.

10.System Environment Condition :-  Checking Environment Condition for IPC and PLC and Other Equipment.

12.Verification of  Power Utility :- Verify the Power and Utility for Equipment and Instrument as Desired acceptance.

13. Verification of PC Installed Software :-  Verify the Installation Software where is install the Software. 

14. Verification of Antivirus Installation :- Verify the Installation of Antivirus for PC Protection.

15. Inspection of Control Panel :- Check the Physical Condition of Control Panel, Cleaning Damaging etc. 

 16. Verification of Domain User Group and Network Operation :-  If System have a Domain Group, Need to Verify the Policy Different Group and Check Network Operation i.e. LAN/WAN etc.
