SOP For Preventive Maintenance Equipment
1.0 Purpose :- The Purpose of the SOP is to Provide Procedure of Plant Preventive maintenance of Equipment.
2.0 Scope :- This Procedure is applicable for Preventive Maintenance of Equipment.
3.0 Responsibility :-
Engineering :- All Engineering Person for Perform the activity.
Engineering Head/Designee :- Review the All Activity
Production/QC/User Department :- User Department Shall be Responsibility of Generate the Maintenance request (MWR) "Maintenance Work Request" Manual and SAP Module SAP Transaction id "IW31"
QA and QA Head/Designee :- QA and QA Head/Designee shall be Responsible for Review and Approve Planner and Equipment list and Check list (Whenever Applicable).
Accountability :- HEAD Engineering
4. Procedure :-
The maintenance is carried out regularly for the assurance of continued work of the equipment abd the operation Safety.
Frequency :-
Six monthly :- HVAC, LAF, RLAF,Dynamic Pass box, Dust Collector air Curton, Vaccum Cleaner ,Vaccum Pump,
Quarterly : Production and Warehouse,utility.
Preparation of the Preventive Maintenance Schedule and Master List :-
1. The Master Annual maintenance schedule shall be prepared for all the critical equipment in the production and utility system.
2. the schedule shall be prepared by Engineer, Checked by Department Head, Review by QA and Respective Department, and Approved by QA Head.
3. the Controlled Copy of the schedule and Master list and Preventive Maintenance Procedure shall be issued to Engineering department for Recording Purpose.
General Terms
1. Frequency and Procedure for Preventive maintenance shall be based on recommendation from Equipment/ Instrument Manufacturer, Installation qualification usage of Equipment/instrument.
2. Schedule and Master List shall be reviewed yearly basis and shall update in case of any changes and Modification.
3. Checklist of Preventive maintenance shall be prepared and Maintenece shall be performed as per checklist.
4. The maintenance should be performed by the staff of Engineering department . if there is no possibility to assure the appropriate maintenance of some specific equipment, outside organisations which specialise in the specific equipment, must be involved .
5. Daily Maintenance includes checking of the uniformity of equipment units and gaskets, protection devices,presence of guard fence, the uniformity of electical wires and pluges, air flue, steam pipe line and water pipe line
6. Check the Equipment that is specific in the production Department request, Production Supervisior and operator before the start of Activity. if any non-conformities are found are found, operator should not switch on the equipment till the non conformities are Corrected. than the activity entry in the equipment log book shall be made, which confirms that the daily maintenece has been performed.
Frequency
1. Quarterly :- +/- 10 days
2. Half yearly :- +/- 15 days
3. Yearly :- +/- 30 days
Category
Critical :- Direct Impact on Product Quality.
Non Critical :- Not Direct Impact on Product Quality
Equipment Category Example :
Quarterly : Production Warehouse and Utility.
Half Yearly :- HVAC, LAF, RLAF , Dynamic Pass box , Dust Collector air Curtain Vacuum Cleaner.
Yearly :- All time of Pump
Check List
1. Prepare the check list for all the critical Equipment in the Production, Warehouse, Water system and Utility Equipment also HVAC System.
2. The checklist must define all critical assembles.
3. As per preventive maintenance schedule, the activity shall be carried out as per the check list with reference respective SOP.
Safety Precautions
1. Open the panel of the machine and clean Properly through Vacuum Cleaner.
2. Ensure the Equipment is cleaned and free from the product.
3. Switch off the main power supply and isolate all the utilities.
4. A "Under Preventive Maintenance " Tag display shall be provided at the main power supply of the equipment.
5. Adequate tools and tackles shall be used.
5. Safety Google and Safety Gloves, Helmet, Safety belt (Heght 10 meter) shall be used During Preventive Maintenance Activity.
6 Refer Equipment Manual During Preventive Maintenance of equipment.
7. After Preventive Maintenance take trail and After Handover Machine/ Equipment.
Procedure :
1. Prepare schedule for Preventive Maintenance.
2. Preventive Maintenance schedule shall be Prepared by maintenance department.
3. Schedule shall be reviewed annually and shall be updated in case of any change.
4. Check list of preventive maintenance shall be prepared and maintenance shall be performed as per check list.
5. concern department head shall be informed before Start the Preventive maintenance activity.
6. for Preventive maintenance of non movable equipment/ instrument, ensure production area is not use equipment and not move / transport the material.
7. Follow the primary and Secondary Gowning Procedure.
8. Disconnect the Electrical Power supply and Put Tag.
9. Replace the part if Neccery Required and Update the history Card.
10. After Completion of maintenance work remove the "Under Maintenance " Status Tag.
11. Take trail of equipment and perform calibration if required.
13. Inform the concern department head after completion the activity.
14. Record the date of preventive maintenance in check list.
15. Preventive maintenance document shall be retained by QA Department.
RECORD :
1. The name of the Perform by column along with the date and the checker shall put his Signature in the "Checked by" column along with the date after completion of the activity .
2. After Completion of the activity , Doer "Engineer" and Checker Head "Engineering" shall sign the annual maintenance schedule .
3. in case any Equipment could not be completed as per schedule due to any any Re son, same shall Rise the Planned Deviation and Perform next 20 days , how ever , the extension for the maintenance shall be approved by Engineering and QA- head.
4. Entry the Preventive Maintenance detail shall be made in the respective equipment log book.
5. in case of introduce the new equipment/ Instrument add the Equipment Addendum list and Schedule and List and Schedule Add in Final preventive maintenance List and Schedule at the End of Year.
